God And Country (2015)
“God and Country” by Michael Riser is a balanced blend of high energy topical Country Rock and chilled back thoughtful Americana. It’s an introspective album dealing with deeper issues but occasionally touches on these topics with humor. Although the album title is "God and Country", this is neither a religious nor a political album, even though there is a religious song, "Holy Father", sung by Michael’s Daughter, Isabelle, as well as a political protest song, "The Rest of Us". It's an album to provoke thought and reflect on core topics we all have in common (wealth, poverty, love, loss, faith, family, patriotism and our society’s increased de-sensitivity to violence) regardless of religious or political affiliation.
